According to the Central Statistical Office’s (GUS) preliminary estimates, the seasonally uncompensated GDP grew in the 3rd Q of 2009 by 1.7% y-o-y. Poland is the only EU country which recorded economic growth in the period. In the previous quarter, Poland’s GDP growth accounted for 1.1%. Among the major factors which contributed to the growth there were foreign demand (net exports) and total consumption – 1.6 percentage point.
